Inaccessible Gallery

According to the WebAIM 1 Million report, 96,8% of homepages tested contain automatically detectable accessibility issues.

The six most common issues are:

  • Low-contrast text (found on 83.9% of websites)
  • Missing alternative text for images (55.4%)
  • Empty links (50.1%)
  • Missing form input labels (46.1%)
  • Empty buttons (27.2%)
  • Missing document language (22.3%)

While these numbers give a good impression of how bad the situation is, they're just numbers that don't reflect how these issues affect users.

Inaccessible Gallery attempts to visualize these issues by simulating how a barrier for a screen reader user would translate to one for a non-screen reader user or how a barrier for a switch device user would affect a mouser user.
